It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear former EUSAS EC colleague and long-time member, Michael Schnell.

Michael Schnell had been a personal member of EUSAS since 1992, contributing consistently to our society for more than three decades. He also was more than 20 years in service as a member of the EUSAS Executive Committee, and led the society as EUSAS Chairman from 2012 to 2014. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he was named an EUSAS Honorary Member in 2018.

We will remember Michael Schnell not only for his commitment to EUSAS but also for his friendliness and cordiality. He will be greatly missed.
